Convection Electric Heater

Convection Heaters:

Transform the air temperature in the room steadily, from cold to hot (fans help with the process time). Some heaters have fans to help circulates air into the room. Oil Filled heaters and other Convection type heaters are capable of heating an entire room, instead of a certain area. Much faster since radiant portable heaters, can only heat surfaces of the surrounding area. Did i mention that They are Very efficient.

Convection heaters do a very thorough job of heating every corner of the room. Since heat rises, electric heaters warm the area from the the top of the room downward. Larger rooms with high ceilings, will take a little longer to heat the entire room.

Temperature in the room will stay constant for a long time even after the heater is turned off. This allows the heater to switch off periodically to save energy with automatic thermostat controls. This is a big energy saver cutting down on that big electric bill every month. These heaters are huge energy savers compared to central heating.

Safety is not an issue with Electric Heaters. With automatic thermostat controls, tip-over safety switches, internal heat limiting thermostat, carrying handle and power indicator lights. Electric heaters will never get hot enough to burn you. Heating elements are internally so it will never come into contact with foreign objects such as curtains, or other flammable material.

Also Very silent. You can have it right next to you and would never know it was on. Sleep peacefully and warm with no worries.

Why worry about clashing with decor. With many new-age designs that complement your decor such as, Wall-mounted panel heaters,wall-mounted or self-supporting fan heaters, many double as end tables, and some are even built to look just like fire places.

Now The Cost of these Electric Portable Space Heaters price range any where as little as $20 while high-end models can cost you as much several hundred. Even though they Can cost a little more than radiant heaters up front but you will save more on energy savings.

Not many disadvantages. #1. If the fan fails, the heater may overheat. But With automatic thermostat controls, and internal heat limiting thermostats, That will not be a problem. That is why electric heaters are never made out of plastic. (I never did think heat and plastic was a good mix). #2. Convection gas heaters are not recommended since the amount of water vapor(steam), and other gases they emit into the household. That is why we recommend electric heaters and not worry about gas and other type of fuel.

Radiant Heaters

Radiant Heater

Say no more to high energy bills, with an Energy Saving Radiant Heater. There are many benefits from owning Electric Heaters. Space Heaters are a necessary appliance today, with the rising fuel cost and even higher energy bills. These heaters sell for as little as $10 on upward to several hundred for high end models, but not only are they great energy savers, they will save you a ton of cash.

Now Radiant heaters are completely different from Convection heaters. Generally they use a single heat source, usually a heating element encased in a glass tube. The external heating element is surrounded by reflectors, allowing you to aim the heat directly to where you want it focused. Great if you want direct heat right on you. The exposed element precisely warms an object, rather than heat the surrounding air. Radiant heaters provide instant and intense heat.

Traditionally radiant heaters could not heat up a space evenly. The warmth is far more intense close to the heater, and this causes nearby people being too hot, while other individuals, on the opposite side of the room are still cold.
Radiant heat is absolutely wonderful for a workshop or other areas that are ordinarily unheated. When ever some warmth is desired , just turn on the switch for instant heat. Matter-of-fact you will feel the warmth much more quickly than from a convection heater, in fact almost instantly. (this is very cost effective,no need to heat an entire room if you are only going to be in there for a very short time)
For higher end applications and room decor is essential, then wall-mounted radiant heaters offer a supplementary heating solution with flair, for accommodation with insufficiently or no accessible wall space. They are even made into floors so your toes and feet will not get cold for the late night walks to the refrigerator. Some Electric Heaters resemble fire places or end tables. Even wall-mounted or self-supporting heaters that will fit almost anywhere.

These type of heaters have a ton of safe guard features. With tip-over safety switches, internal heat limiting thermostat, carrying handle and power indicator lights. You can sleep at night with no worries. Some radiant heaters also use innovative resources like glass to provide an elegant yet functional appearance.

Disadvantages are the warmth dissipates very quickly, as soon as the space heater is shut off since the electric heater heats objects instead of the air. This type of electric heater has to run constantly to keep a large room or space toasty. Ultimately, radiant heaters can be tremendously unsafe, by simply causing burns or electrocution. Users need to be cautious of how a radiant model is positioned. Since objects within the path of the radiant heat can become very warm, it’s crucial to keep a 3 foot opening in front of the electric heater free of obstructions. (A word of advise would be, do not leave a gas can in front of any type of heater in your shop or anywhere or bad things can and will happen.) A tip-over switch is a very good feature, since portable radiant heaters lacking that feature may perhaps pose a fire hazard if knocked over by a pet or a youngster.
